Heavy engineer Napier Engineering and Contracting has signed off on a turnkey plant transfer that saw a 90 tonne meat processing machine taken from the Lowe Walker plant at Hawera and reinstalled at Anzco's processing factory at Ashburton.
The equipment is a heavy duty dryer which is a central component of the meat and bone rendering line at the Ashburton factory.
The dismantling and transfer of the single piece of machinery involved a seamlessly organised road-sea-road transition between Hawera and Ashburton.
